HAPPY 50TH!: THE CFDA CELEBRATES ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY
This year is really special because it celebrates the 50th anniversary of the CFDA. I feel really lucky and honored to be part of the CFDA. To me, it is being part of something larger than myself and part of a group of well established and creative individuals who I really admire, learn from and respect.
I attended the CFDA Awards on Monday night. It was really wonderful to spend the evening with such a powerful and influential group of designers and taste makers. The night is a huge celebration and a time for us all to come together and honor the distinguished talent of all designers. I am so happy and excited for everyone who won — all well deserved. I am still laughing at the moment when Seth Meyers came out in Marc Jacob’s outfit!

I designed the dress from the start with Laura in mind. I was really inspired by her energy and personality, which is really infused into the dress. When I design, I really create a piece with the wearer in mind. I want her to feel confident, modern and cool in the clothes.
